Meeting Minutes
February 13, 2010 (Sunday)

The regular meeting of the Five Gates Household was held on February 13, 2010 at 2:13 p.m., at Margaret's Keep, the Acting Seneschal being in the chair and the Acting Chronicler being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by unanimous voice vote.

Old Business:

It had been determined that the old Burke Ballpark was sitting on two mining claims, owned by the East Shoshone Water District and the Echo Mining Company. Dennis O'Brien is the contact person with regard to the mining company, and somebody would determine who to contact from the Water District.

August 13-15 is the date range for potential event: "Five Gates Keymaster Trials." However, Jorg will need to sign the appropriate date reservation forms for the event.

There will be a rapier/fighter practice at 2:00, Sunday

The possibility of an Arts and Sciences gathering at Seamus' keep was discussed. The garage is almost finished, and hopefully will be by next week.

New Business

Margaret volunteered to allow meetings to continue to be at her Keep.

With regard to Arts and Sciences:

• Yngvilder will teach spinning
  
• Sorcha has wool carders, which the group may use
  
• A source for forging coal has been located
  

Locations for camping events were again discussed, including:

• Silverton green space
  
• Burke ballpark
  
• Private property at Cataldo; Sorcha will inquire
  
• East Shoshone Park (Pottsville)
  
• It was agreed to try to have this narrowed down in a month, by next meeting, including paperwork, such as a budget, etc.
  

Event prizes were also discussed, including a large key, possibly made of tin or copper.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:56 p.m.
