Old Business:

12th Night 2012 - Waiting until 12th Night 2010 to hear back. The King knows the site and likes it.

Winter Ball - Cancelled.

Fimbulvinter - Date Reservation form was mailed in. Need to fill out and mail EIF. Alliette will do this. She has the budget filled out and has a contract for the site all day February 20. We can arrive early to decorate. The information will be submitted to The Crier before November 28. Alliette will reword the original one she wrote to update it for this event.

Burger Bash - Cancelled; Ono will post this on the lists.

Officers

CHATELAINE: A new contact from an active member. Another new contact from NIC. Sukei will give Katherine a pamphlet to pass to this contact. Gilia donated a day shade. Sukei will throw out the old blue and red one as it has become a danger.

GOLD KEY: Katherine received donation. She is working on inventory of Silverhart’s gold key possessions.

CHRONICLER: Minutes from last month were reported on various lists. Symmonne will add them to the website.

LISTS: Quarter report is in.

EXCHEQUER: Not Present. $1709.48 in the account.

HERALD: Gilia heralded for the Baron and Baroness of Wealdsmere at Oktoberfest. She is actively seeking a deputy. Melinda donated pocket sheets for the Tracable Art Book.

A&S: Report turned in. Melinda finally figured out how to do it. There was a paper passed around, pleas write down what you are currently working on.  Melinda is working on arranging a lamp work bead class. She also needs to contact Kara again to try and set up classes between Silverhart and Wealdsmere.

MASTER OF STABLES: Fighter Practice continues. There was archery last week with Katherine running it. Armor construction continues. Ono is still working on finding an indoor site for practice. He has not heard back from the Kroc Center. He has not gotten our eric flags back. Ono is inventorying Silverhart’s possessions that he has.

SENESCHAL: Quarter report was submitted. Everything is calm and quiet.

New Business:

Prizes for Defender of the Hart

• Chivalry Chest - This would be for the overall winner. It would be filled with a prize they may keep and then would be passed on the next year to the next winner. Jorg purchased $50 in pottery from Morgaina including a plate, bowl, cup, lamp and carafe/vase for next year’s winner. After group discussion it was decided the canton would look into a rowing chest. Someone in Wastekeep makes these. Ono will look into it.
  
• Heavy Champion - Either a sword or a knife. Ian will contact Jorg. Ono is willing to make a scabbard. After discussion it was decided a long knife or dirk would be better than a sword.
  
• Rapier - Fighting cloak or buckler. After a recent online discussion, it was decided a buckler would be better. Ono will make the buckler with Janusch's help.
  
• Bardic - Song book that can be added to. Gilia will make this. $10 was approved to purchase supplies.
  
• Games - Traveling game board. Gilia will make this. $10 was approved for supplies.
  
• Archery - Will made a new bracer last year.
  
• A&S - Lidded pouch. Jorg will make this. He will request money later. Ono would like a class on these pouches and there was enough interest from others.
  

Gilia donated prizes to be used for future events. Alliette would be willing to receive more from the populace for Fimbulvinter as well as other future events.

We need to make new eric flags for the newer members of the canton. Melinda will set up a class and Gilia will assist with the heraldry. Gilia will send out a request on the list to get a list of those who need to complete flags. The class will be January 16th at Melinda's property. Gilia will head up a carpool from Coeur d’Alene. Class will start at noon. The leather pouch class will be the same day. Melinda authorized Jorg to spend $30 on leather for the class from her allotment of funds as A&S officer. Jorg has canvas for the flags. Gilia has paint. 

Mask making and Kimono workshops - Sukei will post info in the lists about these workshops. Will put questions regarding a time that works for everyone as well as interest in the workshops. For the mask workshop, everyone needs to finish the ones they started. If people are interested in making a new one, that can also be arranged. This workshop will be in November. The kimono workshop will be in December. Sukei also needs volunteers for the murder mystery plus another small play, a Japanese comedy. There are no lines to memorize.

The canton would love to see more of the populace to come to meetings. If you are unable to attend, but would still like voice your opinion on canton matters, please contact Jorg or the officer responsible.
