5 People in attendance, 6:34 p.m. Old Business:Twelfth Night - Paperwork for the bid is finished except for signatures. In addition to required mailing, sent copies to the Baron and Baroness, Seneschal and Kara. Wealdsmere is the sponsor and Silverhart is the host. Fifty-fifty split on the profits. Silver Heart Winter Ball - Aelliette was not present. Paperwork is due September 28 for the November Crier. The paperwork must be finished by the September 6th meeting. If not ready, perhaps Aelliette would be interested in Fimbulvinter. OfficersCHATELAINE: Not present GOLD KEY: Working on loaner tunics. CHRONICLER: Minutes from last month are on the web page. LISTS: Position open EXCHEQUER: Not present. $1684 in the bank with a few things remaining to clear. HERALD: I heralded for the Baron and Baroness of Wealdsmere at the Shire of Pendale's event. Other than that, I have nothing to report. A&S: Still learning her job. Will email reports to Kara and CC Jorg. Quarterly reports go to Jorg, Kara and Morgaina.
Sewing Days will resume once a month in September. Melinda would like to do a UFO (unfinished object) night with a potluck. We need a location. Melinda's home is available. Maybe we could combine it with a fighter practice?
Brewing Class? Contact Olfus first. MASTER OF STABLES: Fighter practice continues at the 7th Street park, Sundays at noon. All senior heavy weapons marshalls will need to be senior marshalls in archery as well by January 2010. SENESCHAL: Pendale had an event at a new site owned by an SCA member. They have invited us to use it. No charge, they just ask for help improving the site. It is large enough to handle Pendale and Silverhart sized events. Eventually it will be large enough for a Celtic Revolt. We could store hay bales at the site for archery use. We should use it for Defender of the Hart next year if it is agreeable to everyone. Alane has returned the archery targets. Jorg will store them for now. We need a calendar for next year. February 20 for Fimbulvinter. June 11-13 for Defender of the Hart. The Japanese event can be decided in September, potentially looking to August 6-8. New Business:The canton is in 'Quiet Mode.' Melinda has offered to work on officer's banners and baldrics including 6 herald's baldrics. Lily will bring Melinda the canton's banner at the next meeting for repair work on the leaves. The next meeting is September 6th at the donut shop, 6 p.m. In Service,Gilia Maddalena Sofia del Lago | ||
