Meeting Minutes

7 People in attendance, 6:11 p.m.

Old Business:

Defender of the Hart - Ian should be there, Cler will do A&S and if she is unavailable then perhaps the A&S officer. Stella will defend her title, so Malachi should be there. Jonosh has not heard from Gunnar. Vraith will be there to run archery. Arabella and Maria will help with gate. Lily will contact The Crier regarding the event announcement. We have a contract for the potties. We are on the group insurance with Wealdsmere and will split the cost. We need to consider on site supplies. Look at the Inlands Region Website calendar. Jonosh will request volunteers on the lists. Sukei will email the Chatelain lists to spread the word. Need to ask the Master of Stables for a list of what he needs to arrange for the event. Pickles and oranges for the fighters. There is water on site. We need a table and shade for gate. Jorg has the table. Ronin has the shade? Lily will print the forms. Gold Key will be there. Sukei will try to transport the boxes. Julianna and Richenda will do consulting heraldry. That will be announced on the lists. We need to ask to borrow the jugs from the barony. Need to contact Vraith about archery needs. Do we have games for the games competition?

Demos This Summer - Next Thursday (May 7) at 10 AM, Sukei will meet with director Bill Greenwood at Parks and Recreation. The meeting will be to find out how much land we need and get permits. The demos are scheduled for June 6 and July 11 for 4 hours each. We need the eric or we can rope the trees. We need a day shade, but one without stakes, water jugs, Sukei has tables. Sukei will be very active on the lists about the demos. There is no meeting before the first demo.

Officers

CHATELAINE: There was one new contact: Adam. Sukei is encouraging him to come out for the demo. See demo information above.

GOLD KEY: Need a dayshade, Sukei has one. Need medium sized women's clothes. We have fabric, sewing needs to be done. Motion was made and seconded for Katherine Hawkins to spend up to $20 on goblets for loaning out.

CHRONICLER: Nothing to report. Previous months minutes were posted on the internet and lists.

LISTS: Position open

EXCHEQUER: We have $1468.08 in the bank. There are few things still out. We need to contemplate buying a new day shade if the ones Sukei and Ronin have don't work out.

HERALD: Nothing to report. Lily will e-mail about Defender of the Hart consulatation to the lists.

A&S: Not present. May 9th will be our nest sewing day. The directions will be posted on the list. There is room for armoring, fighting and more. The mask workshop went well. Six people showed up. They are half done. Painting and hair is left. Sukei will email regarding the next mask workshop.

MASTER OF STABLES: Not present

SENESCHAL: No new business

WEALDSMERE: No representative present

New Business:

The next canton meeting will be July 7th.

New dancing event? - People seem to be enjoying dancing at events. Maybe we would like to host a ball? Or we could start fighting earlier to allow for more dancing time. We could ask the people who know how to dance to get instructions to dances and CDs of music out to the populace so we can learn in preparation. Maybe we could hold a winter event? Aelliette is interested in autocratting and will look for sites. Perhaps a December event near a freeway or main roads in case of snow.
