12 People in attendance, 6:08 p.m.

Old Business:

Defender of the Hart - the EIF is in. The copy has been submitted to the Crier. The link to the online kingdom calendar has not been received. Haven't heard from all champions as to whether they will be attending. Jorg will marshall; Cler will do A&S and if she is unable, Gilia will fill in; Ian will do Rapier.

Demo at Lakes Middle School - All went well. Pamphlets were handed out. There were 4 fighters and 2 ladies present. The kids built a castle in the gym.

Mask Workshop - April 18. Jorg will email Sukei to put a class reminder on the list.

12th Night - Kara and Gilia are putting the bid together as co-autocrats. We are waiting on more information from Renart before we can actively look at hotels. If you know of any potential hotels in our canton, please let Gilia know. We have the support of the barony. The kingdom is taking bids for 2011 and 2012, so we have plenty of time.

LISTS: Position open.

EXCHEQUER: We got the full deposit back from Fimbulvinter.

HERALD: Todd, Janusch and Aelliette are readty to submit. Melinda has agreed to be the herald's deputy. Melinda, Todd, Janusch and Gilia went to Richenda and Juliana's for an evening of heraldic consulting and much was accomplished. A&S: This is Jorg's last meeting as A&S officer. He will get the quarter report in. Melinda expressed interest in the position. All in favor, no opposed. Melinda is the new Canton A&S officer.

MASTER OF STABLES: There were a couple new guys at fighter practice. Fighter practice continues as weather and events permit. Armor is being built. Ono will try to get a regular armor night going. A reminder to people that is you are interested in fighting in crown, you need to check the requirements first.

SENESCHAL: There is a potential for a new peerage in the works. It would be for non-heavy combatants. Milpitas needs commentary. See page 8 of the Crier for where to send comments. Quarter reports are due April 15. Please CC Jorg when you send your report.

WEALDSMERE: No representative present.

New Business:

The next canton meeting will be May 3 at the Donut House at 6 p.m.

New dancing event? - People seem to be enjoying dancing at events. Maybe we would like to host a ball? Or we could start fighting earlier to allow for more dancing time. We could ask the people who know how to dance to get instructions to dances and CDs of music out to the populace so we can learn in preparation. Maybe we could hold a winter event? Aelliette is interested in autocratting and will look for sites. Perhaps a December event near a freeway or main roads in case of snow.
