Meeting Minutes
Monday, Dec. 12, 2008

Location: Memorial Gymnasium, Moscow, ID

Called to order at 3:00 p.m.
In attendance Phelan, Morgaina, Edouard, Tova, Tawny, Luelan, Freya, and Adam (Killian was present for the party but missed the meeting). This was a combined Yule party, A&S/fighter practice, and meeting.

Old Business:

An Tir Kingdom A&S will be held March 6-8, 2009 in the Barony of Wastekeep. Champion entry will be 2 items, and application to compete is due to TRM by 12th Night. Anyone can enter - you don't have to be in the champion competition to enter something and get good feedback from it.

New Business:

Honor War - Hallgrim and Ceinwen will autocrat, Tova will be site contact. Phelan will work up a couple beads for site token examples. We will be using the south half of C-loop at Hellsgate State Park. The park was very happy with our event last year and how we cleaned up the place. There was a discussion on access - we need to work up a large sign for the entrance to C-loop stating it is closed except for the War (Tova and Tawny will work on the wording). We also need to have barriers to keep the public from driving through the middle of the event like they did last year (BIG mention of the truck/boat combos that kept circling). Morgaina asked about trying to have guides for the public to come see what we do, much like Dragon's Laire and Three Mountains have done. Tova will contact those baronies to get more information on how they did it. Tova will take a deposit check for the event - $106.50.

Champions - Good discussion on which champions we want, and when to have their competitions. At present it looks like we want to have Rapier, Bardic, and A&S at Honor War. Heavy Champion, and perhaps Archery, will be at a fall feast event.

Champion Favors - Phelan will work on having champion favors ready for Honor War. If anyone else is interested in helping he would greatly appreciate it. He will take pictures of champion favors others own over the next few events.

Fall Event - there is interest in a fall event. We need to have some sort of name for it, and then bids. It would most likely be a day feast, sometime in September.

Officer Reports

Seneschal: Phelan. Nothing to report

Exchequer: No change from last report.

A&S: Tawny. Please submit A&S reports.

Chatelaine: Tova. Working on informational handouts for events.

Herald: Tawny. Is there interest in rescheduling a heraldry day? There was interest. Phelan will speak to Companion Inguz and HL Juliana about coming to our next A&S/fighter practice.

Master of Stables Killianflynn. We would like to have a combined fighting/A&S meeting at least once a month, if not bi-weekly. Discussion on what time/day would be the best. Killianflynn could possibly get a multi-function room at the UI. Akornebir will be having fighting/A&S the first Saturday of the month in Waitsburg from noon to 3 pm through the winter. Phelan has his junior heavy and junior rapier marshal warrants, so practices are sanctioned.

Next meeting We will try to have a January fighter practice/A&S/meeting. Tawny and Killianflynn are looking into possible times and spaces.
