Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008

Location: Daily Grind Café, Pullman, WA

Called to order at 7:00 p.m.
In attendance Phelan, Ceinwen, Morgaina, Edouard, Jeff, Nathan and Tova (by phone).

Old Business:

Lyonsmarche Fall Feast & Tourney: Cancelled this year due to scheduling issues.

New Business:

As You Like It will be hosted by the Canton of Akornebir November 15 in Waitsburg. There will be A&S Champion and Rapier Champion (this is their premiere rapier event). Details and directions on the An-Tir Calendar Page.

Harvest Protector at Shire of Pendale November 22.

Honor War Bids - Hallgrim and Ceinwen will autocrat; Tova will be site contact. Phelan will work up a couple beads for site token examples.

Champions - Right now, we have a heavy and A&S champion; which are we interested in supporting (rapier, archery)? The consensus was that we could support heavy, rapier, archery, A&S and bardic champions. Suggestion to have bardic, A&S and rapier at Honor War and heavy and archery at the fall/winter event.

Champion Favors - Are we interested in making champion favors? Yes, favors are desired. Killian has a sister that can scan/download gifs into her sewing machine and make favors. Discussion on sewing machine vs. hand-embroidered favors. Phelan stated that he would rather the favors given to champions be hand-stitched, most agreed.

College of Lyonsmarche office badges - Killianflynn suggested making office badges for the College. Most branches have a key for the seneschal. Do we want to have belt-worn badges, and what on them? General agreement was to look into office/branch devices on the favors.

Officer Reports

Seneschal: The Administrative retreat went well; Ceinwen and I learned a lot. It was nice to network with other branches' officers and know there is support and backup from the kingdom officers.

Exchequer: Unable to attend due to family emergency. October account balance $3,754.70.

A&S: Tawny. Please submit A&S reports.

Chatelaine: Tova is working on putting Lyonsmarche information into some kingdom-approved public information documents.

Chronicler: No Officer. Phelan will be taking notes from the meetings to post to the listserv and provide copies to the Inlands chronicler and Grete Boke.

Gold Key: No Officer. We need to get out all the gold key items and inventory them.

Herald: No report.

Lists: No Officer.

Master of Stables: Killianflynn. We would like to have a combined fighting/A&S meeting at least once a month, if not bi-weekly. Discussion on what time/day would be the best. Killianflynn could possibly get a multi-function room at the UI. Edouard is looking into what it takes to get a room at WSU- has to be a student organization. Akornebir will be having fighting/A&S the first Saturday of the month in Waitsburg from noon to 3 pm through the winter. Phelan noted that he is a junior heavy marshal and will be going for his junior rapier marshal warranting at As You Like It.

Next meeting: We will try to have a December party/fighter practice/A&S/meeting. Tawny and Killianflynn are looking into possible times and spaces.
