Set up Saturday 11 a.m.; judging begins at noon.

The Art of War
This entry should consist of an article of combat. Armor, helm, shield, sword, war banner or what have you. It must be relevant to actual battle. Entry should not have previously won a competition and must include any props for display (ie: an armor stand!) Points will be awarded for: Authenticity, usefulness, skill in construction as per category and documentation of item. Categories will be beginner and advanced.

The Science of Peace
This entry should consist of an article of leisure. Banner, chair, embroidery, illumination or what have you. It must be relevant to our period and must include documentation. Entry should not have previously won a competition and must include any props for display (ie: an armor stand!) Points will be awarded for: Authenticity, usefulness, skill in construction as per category and documentation of item. Categories will be beginner and advanced. If you can come up with an item appropriate to both categories, there is a separate prize for that - but you must be prepared to explain why it fits both categories.

Mead Competition
Beginners: Can be any flavor or variety, documentation encouraged but not required. Points will be awarded for taste, clarity and presentation. Advanced: Documentation required. Points will be awarded for taste, clarity, presentation, authenticity and documentation.

Cordials w/documentation
This should be any period documented cordial. Points will be awarded for taste, clarity, presentation, authenticity and documentation.
