Inlands Crown Principality

Proposed Arms

This is not an official SCA web site
As the Inlands Region considers moving to Crown Principality status, defining who we are and where we're going, we are considering changing the name from Inlands Region and registering Arms with the College of Heralds.

Quarterly Argent and Sable, a Tyger sejant Or armed gules bearing in his dexter forepaw a laurel wreath proper fess.
This device ties in with the An Tir arms in that it uses the same colors (yellow, white, black with green and red), and it uses a cat, the heraldic Tyger, instead of the Lion.
The An Tir laurel wreath is also held in a fess position.

In conflict with "Purpure, a tyger sejant." - change tyger to sinister.
Question: Doesn't the laurel wreath add a second charge that gives a second point of difference?
Quarterly Argent and Sable, a Tyger segreant bearing in his dexter forepaw a laurel wreath proper fess.
Gyronny Argent and vert a Wyvern erect sable maintaining a Laurel wreath bendwise Or.
(Alternatively, the laurel wreath could be colored as argent over the green gyron and green over the argent gyron)

In conflict with "(Fieldless) A dragon salient sable breathing flames gules." - change wyvern to sinister.
Quarterly Argent and Sable, a Tyger segreant bearing in his dexter forepaw a laurel wreath proper fess.
Erminois, on a saltaire gules a laurel wreath argent.
Pean, on a saltaire gules a laurel wreath argent
Per pall Ver, Azure and Or, a ram's head affronty Argent, armed Or, a laurel wreath Or and a sun in his splendor Gules.

(note: this design is presented with 5 colors, and as such will probably not pass the College of Heralds. Alternate ideas could be either the green or blue section could be red, or the ram's head entired yellow)
Per pall Ver, Azure and Or, a ram's head affronty Argent, armed Or, a laurel wreath Or and a sun in his splendor Gules
Send your suggested Arms proposals to the Heraldry committee chair.
